Collecting Started Long Before Rare 33
Our Story
Rare 33 did not begin as a business idea.
It began with years of searching.
Before the imports, the listings, and the international sourcing, there was simply a collector — someone who grew up fascinated by comic book artwork, classic storytelling, vinyl records, cover art, and the feeling of discovering something rare in unexpected places.
Like many collectors, it started with curiosity:
a comic picked up at a bookstore, a vinyl record discovered in a second-hand collection, a cover that stayed in memory for years.
Over time, that curiosity became a lifelong habit of collecting, reading, listening, searching, preserving, and learning. The thrill of discovering a forgotten Bronze Age comic.
The excitement of finding an original 33⅓ RPM pressing in great condition. The nostalgia attached to characters, cover art, music, and stories that shaped entire generations. Rare 33 was built from that experience.
Every comic and every record listed on Rare 33 is individually selected based on condition, collectibility, artwork, era, demand, or personal significance within collector culture.
Today, we source comics, vinyl records, and pop culture collectibles from international markets — and make them accessible to Indian collectors who value authenticity, nostalgia, artwork, storytelling, and rarity.
We focus on collectibles that are:
- difficult to find locally
- culturally iconic
- visually memorable
- historically interesting
- or simply meaningful to own
We are not a mass inventory store. We are collectors first. That changes how we source, evaluate, and sell every item.
We understand:
- why condition matters
- why first appearances matter
- why original pressings matter
- why packaging matters
- and why trust matters most in buying collectibles
Every comic and record listed on Rare 33 is individually selected based on collectibility, artwork, historical significance, rarity, nostalgia, or fan demand.
OUR HISTORY

The Collector Years
Long before Rare 33 existed, collecting was already part of everyday life.
Comic books, graphic storytelling, vinyl culture, classic rock, international editions, cover art, and physical media were more than hobbies — they were a way of staying connected to stories and music that digital platforms could never fully replace.
Over the years, sourcing collectibles internationally became second nature:
- learning grading standards
- understanding print variations
- identifying collectible runs
- tracking international pricing
- and discovering how difficult many of these items were to access from India
That experience eventually evolved into Rare 33.

Building Rare 33
As international sourcing became more accessible, Rare 33 began exploring overseas collector markets, auctions, comic shops, estate sales, and online marketplaces — especially across the UK.
That changed everything.
Suddenly, it became possible to discover:
- hard-to-find comic runs
- vintage Marvel and DC books
- rare vinyl pressings
- collectible editions rarely seen in Indian marketplaces
What started as personal sourcing soon evolved into helping other collectors discover these items too.
Rare 33 was built from that idea:
bringing globally sourced collectibles to collectors in India with honesty, transparency, and a collector-first mindset.
